    Wink How do i get mods to work in rFactor 2

    Hi how do i get mods i download to work for rfactor 2 are they the same as rfactor or do you have to do it completely different and if its different how do i do it thank`s for your help.

     rFactor2 Validated PC Specification in profile Where I race rF2 Rank Laptimes 
    You have to put the mod files in the packages folder of rFactor2, then start rFactor2 and click on mod manager in the lower right corner.
    There you need to install the mods.
    I think in the current build (85) you can install mods from within the single player mode as well.
    Hope it helps.

    start rFactor2 and in the launcher screen (The one where you select single or multiplayer) in the bottom right corner you should see a button "manage mods" go in there. you should see the list of mods in the documents>rFactor2>packages folder. right click on one of them, then click install. That SHOULD be the process. It's what I did anyway, really hope that helps.

    I put the file in the map packages, but it is saying to me ;

    Mods that cannot be installed ;

    so why cant it be installed ?

    There are mods which are dependent on other mods. Meaning you can't install those if you dont have the other already installed.
    I'm not sure if the Formula Masters is dependent on some other mod, but I doubt it. Maybe Tim can help you here.

    What's the difference between firing up the game and using the manage mods option vs going to SP-manage components?
