Unhappy G27 H-shifter not working correctly

    Hey everyone,
I bought Rfactor 2 to enjoy some realistic racing.
I like the beta already, but something is bugging me.
I can't get the H-shifter to work as it is suppose to do.

This is how i set my wheel up (tried to).
I went to settings, clicked recognize steering wheel. (I don't know if this is the exact name of the button)
The steering wheel worked fine, but i could only shift with the pedals. My H-shifter didn't do anything.
So i went to key bindings, and checked the gear bindings. They were not configurated. So, i was going to do that myself.

I mapped 1st gear in to first gear on my g27, 2nd in to second, 3rd in to third gear and so on.
When i started to race again, i could change gear with my H-shifter, but it worked without using the clutch.
And i coudn't use the paddles anymore.

This is how it shifts. When i pull the gearbox from 1st to 2nd without using the clutch. It just go's like this.
    1st gear -- N -- 2nd gear.
Without using the clutch and aids off. ( auto clutch and auto shifting was off!)
Whye does it shift without the clutch!?

So please help me, what did I do wrong?
I wan't to shift with my clutch and H-shifter and enjoy the game.
    Thanks

Racing cars don't use 'H' shifters. Live with it.

You need to apply clutch so you dont stall while shifting when youre stationary. Afterwards,no,not necessary, although it helps me while downshifting. I almost always apply clutch as everyday driving habbit.
Reason paddles dont work, you should assign them to: gear up, gear down (or upshift, downshift dont remember well) in game/settings/controllers. That way you can use h-shift or paddles or both!!!

    @g7usl : ??? lol Dave

cant drive the 60's F1 without heel&toe and it makes a lot of fun by disabling auto lift/blip in the plr file.

The 60's cars had similar gearboxes to motorcycles. push froward for down changes - pull back for up changes. The G25/27 masters these.

Ok, i've read all of your comments. Thanks for helping.
Will they support clutch for rfactor 2 in the future.
Or is it not going to happen?
