    Build 68-69 on remote update available

    Hi racers,

    I just press the Check for Update button in RF2 and receive a remote update Build 68

    Just curious cause i recently see nothing about that. Will try out now to see whats going on.

    UPDATE 2 Changelog (March 14, 2012):
    ======================================

    GRAPHICS:
    ---------------------------
    Some fixes to overlay/gauge rendering to make it more SLI friendly.
    Fixed HDR problem for frame times greater than adapt ET.
    Avoid flashing one frame of the options while driving in realtime (could happen if server went to next track).
    Fixed up various HDR issues.

    GAMEPLAY:
    ----------------------------
    More complete tire heat from damping (currently optional but won't be forever).
    Improved tire damping heat application and made more configurable.
    Improved thread stability.
    Prevent display and system sleeping (ded servers will only prevent system sleeping).
    Added new finish criteria "% Track Laps" and "% Track Time" in case you don't want the percentage of both which is what "% Track Defaults" does.

    SOUNDS:
    ----------------------------
    Doubled the maximum number of sounds.

    AI:
    ----------------------------
    Added fix for AI not to avoid other cars in private session (since they're invisible).
    Improved terrain sampling so that AI physics handles painted lines correctly.

    PLUGINS:
    ----------------------------
    Added track IR plugin.
    Fixed logical error that would have prevented some plugins from running properly.
    Tweaked plugin message interface to allow chat commands.
    Added chat commands to results stream.
    Some other plugin additions.

    UI:
    ----------------------------
    Added new filters to mp lobby.
    Fixed bug where one frame of mis-sized vehicle or track selection shows up on main menu coming back from switching RFMs.
    Added a button action to force reload of car spinner. (so modders can update the loose skin dds and see it in game immediately.)
    Increased camera mobility around ôReflected Floorö showroom.
    Tracking power loss in tire tool.

    I see another thread a guy did it too... looks as if something is in the works to come down the pipe. but I would wait until we get word before getting my hopes up.

    Thats weird, cannot see any improvement at all. Also AGAIN! nothing new sadly.
    I really do miss a thread or nfo page where we can see the progress of the builds. And if there is Update option some may try that here and there and hope for something fresh. Its time for it.

    I also saw the update I downloaded and installed, and it says my version is now 104 I started a server then when I try to join it says no mod found hmm dont understand whats happening someone just joined the server so its working anyone have any ideas please

    Hi again,

    There is a progress finally. Even if its not THAT big but FINALLY i can use HDR and FXAA together with Video Sync wich didnt work before ( switched back everytime before).
    Also the HDR alone looks great now.

    Yes, the build 104 is included in build 68.

    okay I understand that I basically searched then download 068 then installed, I started my own server working fine people joining on new version I then try to join my server it says no mod found using the meganes

    There is some FPS improvment - Mid-Ohio, Megane, all setting full, AA off, Sync off, FullHD before 50-90, after 70-170.

    thanks for the heads up, not played RF2 since last month so wont bother with FPS comparisons unless I notice any major increase....which I doubt I'll get on my system anyway.

    sure, its a remote update. And for DL you need to be online.

    okay so far I have found I can join my updated server then I leave to make changes in graphic settings the I try to rejoin the server and it tells me no mods installed, everytime I leave I then have to close the server and restart then I can join, as soon as I leave again I cant rejoin without restarting the server. I notice in the game browser there are servers running 105 version. first impressions when I get in is the fps has increased, but I have found a major bug my car has gone a weird light colour now, the whole car seems to be covered in a glass layer even the black parts which are usually matt are so shiney.

    Same here on all installed Mods !
