It's great to finally have an ISI forum where to discuss all these news about rF2! This rain effect already looks gorgeous!

Very nice in this screenshot you can see the windshield wipers, you can activate and deactivate in the rFactor 2 included when no rain, when the asfalt is wet?

Looks like a huge improvement since the last video, and in such short time!

In the video it was an open wheel car with drops on the helmets visor.
However. Once the car started driving the drops of rain did not move at all.
I'm sure this will be adressed?

Pic looks great! Nissan GTR included in rF2 release ? :-)

A question i want to know is how in-depth is the rain module? Like are we going to have Monsoon conditions where cars are sliding off at really low speeds and impossible racing conditions?

I love how some racing games seem to think that rain still hits your windshield whilst driving through tunnels

Looks really impressive though, interesting to see how this works out in the end. Keep up the work!

I'd love to see video of it, for a still shot it looks outstanding.

This reminded me of an interview I was just reading with Geoff Crammond

Looks brilliant. It can of course always be better, but most sims don't even have rain visuals making this unique.
And this is a screenshot, static shots usually don't look as good as moving footage. Especially in computer graphics.

    These are my suggestions:
If the droplet coordinates (with the wind shield as a grid) could be generated through FFT or Perlin noise, it would look more natural.

This can be used for rain splatter on the track aswell.

Also, drops should cast shadows and refract light if possible. This can be done through vertex shaders. Perhaps not a priority but it would make a nice addition.

I'm anxious to see how it will look like in moving footage.
