RF2 Server Open - Online Racing Australia

Okay, I'm going to try this again, since there seems to be more than a few around this forum unable to find any descent racing in RF2.

We had our RF2 server up pretty much from release [of the beta], but after a couple of weeks I was forced to password it, due to the number of idiots. I'm opening it up again in the hope things will go better, as we had some good racing for a while, and were happy to see 15 to 20 racers in there each day.

I feel your pain about the idiots. Although I have to say that so far rf2 servers are nothing like what you find in the Race 07 public servers where lobotomies are mandatory.

I wanted to make a small suggestion: In both Monaco and SPA there are many drivers that are unable to handle the F1 cars (and sometimes the F2s as well). Especially Monaco is a lot of fun with F3 cars and quite competitive while remaining accessible.

F2's are great at SPA as well since the F1's require quite a bit of practice and experience while the F2 not quite as much.

I just figure I'd float this by you

F3 cars at Monaco are a BLAST!!!!!

F1 cars at Monaco are for league special events.

We try not to limit ourselves to those two tracks, and are planning an organised 'RF2 Fun Night' using an all F3 field, at Mills Outer Loop B actually. I was in testing the server [after the update was applied] and it's a fun combination of car and track.

Have you guys tried the Megane at Malaysia Full Loop yet?

Great server. Quasi, I believe we've raced in-game a few times. You may remember me as Josh Fahey. Good to see the time scale has been normalised, x5 was absolute mayhem, lost quite a few certain victories due to the wild weather. Haven't fired up rF2 in a few weeks now but I'll drop by and have a few races soon, for sure.

I'll keep it in mind, but so far so good.

No worries Josh, look forward to it. The 5x time scale must have been when I was still sorting out the scripted weather, which I only run with the Meganes.

Yeah mate, it was. The last time I joined the server was 24/7 Meganes at Inner Loop C. Great fun though!

Thanks Quasi and all of ORA for allowing the server to become accessible to the public again!!

I live in New Zealand and its real hard to find gd servers down this way, so thanks. I enjoyed the racing the other night Quasi and thanks for the set it did work a treat look forward to seeing you on track again.

And if those people who like to abuse the rules of the server please dont bother joining and destroying this gesture from ORA for us public to use it, just use your heads and respect the server and ALL people running it and the other drivers.

    And thats my 2c......

Thanks Quasi, I only ever managed to find European servers with low numbers.

Hope to jump onto your server when time permits.

Can anyone else find ORA in the server browser? Not there at all for me.

Restarted the server. It was that annoying random issue of the RF2 server not connecting to matchmaker. Thanks ROON.

Is there a particular day/time when there are a few drivers on this server?

    Australian night time.
We have just started our rF GT3 series and we race that on Saturday nights and a practice night on Wednesday.
So any night other than Wednesday or Saturday you could find some ORAians in the rF2 server, no promises though.

Just got home from work and found the server not connecting to matchmaker again. It appears to do it quite a bit while set to the classic F1 mod, but not much on the Meganes.....curious.

Either way, it should appear in matchmaker now.

Tried joining a few times, 'connection lost' and disconnected on each attempt. Not sure why, I saw ORA-Maxcat was in the server okay. Doesn't happen to me with any other servers.
