Temperatures are wrong.
Degradation is too slow because the temperatures do not rise and do not remain stable above 70 ° (test, brake very hard you will see that temperatures chuterons very quickly).
Meanwhile ISI improves his game, here is the BETA version that we confirm.

Yes the Gears Ratio is not edited in the HDV, is normal is one BETA.
The version F1 2012 IS now OK, the last Car in 3DSmax.

I just uninstalled the 1.6 beta and installed the V4 beta mod, what did you set your gear ratio too? I dont think I even got into fourth gear on the V4 mod, im totally new to tweaking the cars so any help would be appreciated.

Try this setup. Let me know how you like it... Place it in "Documents, rfactor2, UserData,Player, Settings, Malaysia GP" This is for rf2 installed on Win 7. On XP, go to "My Documents", then the rest is the same....
