    I've just tried to play with a cornerworker rig...but for now I can't get it to work.

    As the TrackTechnolgy pdf said, I had positioned the cornerworker istance on the trackside and the pivot at the world origin (0,0,0).

    After this, I exported my istance with the Fix Bones Names checked;

    Then...I've tried to export the various ANM files from original models...but when I test the track I've a "not enough bones..." error...and the cornerworker doesn't move at all. I noticed that the ANM files exported from original .max models are very light...with a max of 26KB instead the 981KB of your original ANM inside MAS.

    BTW this is the .SCN section:

    Instance=CornerWorker_001
    {
    MeshFile=CornerWorker_001.gmt CollTarget=False HATTarget=False
    AnimFile=CW_FLAGDOWN.ANM
    AnimFile=CW_FLAGHELD.ANM
    AnimFile=CW_FLAGWAVE.ANM
    AnimFile=CW_SAFETYCAR.ANM
    AnimFile=CW_VICTORY.ANM
    }

    After various test I've tried to use the ANMs files from your original tracks, and the track load without the "not enough bones" error....but this is the result:

    monster.JPG

    A flying multicolored monster....that really scared me!

    Anybody from ISI can help me to understand? Tnx!

    Max 8 is giving me a error when I try to load the tutorial files telling me that there is a unknown class no stand in:super ID=B60 blah blah. What could the problem be other than me being stupid.

    Cheers

    That error usually means the file is a different max version, or a plugin is missing.

    Tuttle, I'd suggest making your own thread and being specific about where you're stuck and I'm sure someone will stop by to answer your questions.

    Are there any chance that we will get some basic animations from ISI's track like animated flags or we should do it ourself?

    It would be nice to have some basic stuff from ISI because it can improve our work and save our time which means more tracks and higher quality

    Wow... That's pretty high polycount there... I wonder if it's reasonable to use that in game without reducing polycount, alot...

    Cheers!

    For sure, you don't need hi-poly feet and hands, until you want to have naked driver, without racing clothes

    that one is 75k polys in Max optimize took it down to 50k still way too high. haven't figured out how to make sure pivot points come with it.

    You can use such a high poly model to bake a good normal maps and use them on low poly model.

    Tim, could you get some minor "documentation" regarding XML results files?

    I'm have awful times trying to understand the logics of <Stream> nodes. And also still can't understand what <LapRankIncludingDiscos> means.
