I'm modder too and while I'm waiting tgm guide to come, I think that there will be some new WIP stuff coming that might do some changes to how physics must be made, not too much of course, but some new things we can take use.

Any new tutorial is of course always welcome, there can't be too many

    Hello,
As for tires, it would be possible to have an archive of a model for the pilot and animated his arms ?

    Thx for the job !

I noticed from reading the tutorial, it says that the biped skel + driver are in the resource files, yet they are not could we have the correct max file please

    Great!

This reminds me of phoning Atari in 1990something and getting through to the development team: I asked if they could help me hack Supersprint to change the maximum lap number. They seemed to think I was crazy to have the cheek to ask. Fools.

So, well done ISI for embracing openness.....and publishing examples etc. I feel sure it's the way to go, though it doesn't seem to get the recognition it deserves.

I understand 3ds max is quite obsolete these days, but I like it quite a bit more than newer versions and currently buying version 8 might not be even possible, 2010 seemed especially horrible to use, but I guess my only option to open example files is to have at least max 8 and that support for older versions is not planned as they are quite obsolete?

Well, I guess this is bit of FAQ material really.

    Where is this located?

I cannot see it when I do a search of the rFactor2 stuff.

    Hi:

Is the "Bump Specular Map T1 Lerp All Vertex Alpha" equal to "Deformable Tire"?

I have the second option in 3D Studio Max gMat Material, but no the first.

    Thanks.

Hey Tim, anyway we can get dates besides the files, and maybe if they get updated an **UPDATED** besides them as well, if its not too much trouble

It would be nice to have a tutorial on material settings. Just a few pages with images of material settings applied for each kind of material (carbody, glass, chrome, matte surfaces, lights, brakelights,...). In a way we could get it from the example files but those who do not own 3dsMax 2010 and newer..impossible.

Otherwise thank you for the beta and keep improving !

Agreed, a detailed materials tutorial would be great. I'm having problems getting windows and alpha channels to work right :S

Yes it is renamed to Deformable Tire in the released tools, the guide needs updating.

Do you have or will have for us a Loading Screen template (minor thing sure, but would be nice).
