Some experiments with dynamic exposition in shaders.
Also, these shaders increase directional light intensity and provide non-linear exposition to fit all that contrast onto screen without nasty overbrights.
Don't mind weird sky color and road shaders - these still need some work
Depending on how much tweaking these shaders will require I should make them available in Shader Pack v0.9 or v1.0. In the meantime I'm preparing v0.8 for release.
What it really needs now is shadows in cockpit - it gets lit by sun behind car. Unfortunately that's something I can't do anything about.

Another glimpse of upcoming Shader Pack v0.9 - some shots from our recent league race.
I know some things may look overdone or unmatched. That's because it takes time to adjust everything to look right at every time of day and view direction. You will find some shots to look very convincing while others may seem oversaturated or too bright. Or just weird...That's just the stage I'm at currently.
I need to polish up Editor, shaders and do some additional testing and we will be ready to go with v0.9. I'll do my best not to keep you waiting long.
Of course video is unedited and no plugins have been used - just rFactor + Shader Pack + modified cars and track.
BTW - video is not smooth in some places, sorry for that.

Thanks again 6e66o and all those responsible for this track. Great video!! but how did you get rid of the flickering shadows???
I didnīt really get rid of them (i donīt think it is possible tbh),
but for this video i used static camera shots.
The flickering is depending on the cam/mouse movement,
so if you donīt move the cam, and hit a sweet spot, you see all the shadows without flickering.
I really hope this issue has been addressed by ISI,
and if i remember correctly Scott confirmed that it wonīt be an issue in rF2 anymore![]()
