ISI Forums Rules

No discussion on piracy, or any way of circumventing what could be considered copy protection. Feel free to notify us PRIVATELY any time you see something related to this.

You are absolutely welcome to discuss and argue out a point, but please ensure you make no personal comments whatsoever by doing so. Just argue the issue.

It is important that you do not consider someone who is disagreeing with you to be someone who is attacking you. They may simply be disagreeing.

ISI don't consider someone with their own opinions "trolls" or "fanboys", so if you are unable to cope with someone who you consider to be one, add them to your ignore list. If you intend to reply to them, you need to do it in a non-personal way, like you should be in every post.

If you do think a post is offensive, report it. Simply click the report button on the bottom-left side of the post.

If you don't like someone's attitude, or the advice they gave, click the star at the bottom-left side of the post and give them negative feedback. (This received feedback can be seen in your settings section).

If you like someone's attitude, or like the advice they gave, click the star at the bottom-left side of the post and give them positive feedback. (This received feedback can be seen in your settings section).

Negative feedback or post reports (see the three paragraphs above) may be used for disciplinary actions such as banning or removal of posting abilities.

We will close posts if they begin to get enormous. We will state when we have done this and if you start a new one, please link to the old one. We'll try to do it during a gap in conversation.

Banning is something we really want to avoid. In most cases it is not necessary. However, if someone is taking up a lot of our time by being 'annoying' in little ways, we may use a temporary ban to give ourselves some relief.

We reserve the right to run this forum, as our forum. We really want you to police yourselves with the reporting and feedback features. We want discussion, we want honesty, but we also need respect to go along with that. If you don't have the patience to do it, don't reply.

Now the 'official' stuff:
Although the administrators and moderators of ISI Forums will attempt to keep all objectionable messages off this site, it is impossible for us to review all messages. All messages express the views of the author, and neither the owners of ISI Forums, nor vBulletin Solutions, Inc. (developers of vBulletin) will be held responsible for the content of any message.

By agreeing to these rules, you warrant that you will not post any messages that are obscene, vulgar, sexually-oriented, hateful, threatening, or otherwise violative of any laws.

The owners of ISI Forums reserve the right to remove, edit, move or close any content item for any reason.
